Speaker: Jon Daley Talk Title: Housing and Health: The Missing Link

Speaker: Roz Howarth Talk Title: What is imposter syndrome?
Have you heard of imposter syndrome? That little voice inside your head that puts you down, tells you that you can’t do something or tells you that you’re not good enough? This voice of doom has been amplified by the rise of social media, and the amount of time we spend comparing ourselves with others online.
I’ll talk about what imposter syndrome is, who it affects and what you can do to silence your ‘inner critic’.

Speaker: Eamon Magdoubi Talk Title: The most efficient path to find Waldo on a page and how a computer would do it faster

Speaker: Caleb Benton Talk Title: How I Believe Carbon Green Credits Will Transform Our World

Speaker: Danny Bowman Talk Title: The Politics of UK Mental Health Policy

Speaker: Eric John Woodcock Talk Title: The best route to change is a project.
It’s all very well having a great idea, but how to do turn that into a reality in the most effective and efficient way? The answer is to frame the process as a project. A real project has a number of facets, such as understanding stakeholders, challenges and risks, requirements and benefits, keeping the whole thing under control, and of course a really clear idea of what exactly you are trying to achieve. I will talk briefly about this disciplined way of thinking, planning and acting. It applies as much to setting up an awareness campaign, or mounting an art exhibition, as it does to building a new concert hall.

Speaker: Marc McDermott Talk Title: The Hypnotic State

Speaker: Kindah Ali Talk Title: The meaning of a single mum and a phd student

Speaker: Paul Marrow Talk Title: Looking back at the Cold War: links with Liverpool?

Speaker: Cath Holland Talk Title: That patriarchy hates middle-aged women with the heat of a thousand suns.

Speaker: Kate Calderbank Talk Title: “Are you ok?”
How this simple question is so important. What might be a better way to ask it. How to authentically respond – even if that is just in a conversation with yourself. What to do about what is not ok. Why it is hard to see the good stuff. Ponderings on these and other easy life questions!

We’re always looking for speakers so if you haven’t submitted in time for this session then we will move you to our next event.
