If you missed Ignite 46, then you missed a good one. Ignite 46* took place on 18th January at Leaf as you would expect. With 11 or 12 speakers – it was over a month ago and my memory fades quickly, so it was a super packed night with a sell out audience. We had some great feedback from the night and so many speakers wanting to do it again. Our audience as always were lovely especially to those who struggled when on stage. So a big thank you to them.
I’ve attached the playlist of individual videos from Youtube, the livestream was a little distorted so I’m ignoring that. Jim Bellew, wearing a save the whale Jumper was a bit of a hero of the night as was Lauren Mellor and Lee Hughes to name just a few. So do give them a watch.
Coming up on the 3rd May is EuroVersion – yep our Eurovision spectacular – Tickets are available and talks are coming in for that. We’ve been asked to take part in Liverpool Makefest, which will be at the end of July or early August so there is plenty of preparation to do for that. But we are hoping once again to take the theme of Ignite Liverpool Futures; last year we looked at Sustainability in Liverpool. Check the Youtube channel for that playlist also.
We are hoping to be taking part in Wirral Makefest at the beginning of June and thankfully someone has stepped forward to assist with the thinking and hopefully the organising of this – but more assistance is always appreciated.
The Ignite Lounge – admittedly, nothing has been done on this in 2023 and with a programme of talk events that we have laid out before us it may not be possible to get started this year. But we will see.
