Ignite LogoContinuing our series of swift, exciting and open submission Ignite Talks we’re pleased to announce our line up of speakers for Ignite 16. We have announced them a late mostly to give people time to submit their ideas and slides, but we are pleased to be able to bring you another fantastic selection of talks on a wide variety of subjects.

As normal the Doors Open at 6pm, with talks starting at 6.45pm and we should be wrapped up for informal networking (chatting at the bar) by 9pm

Tom Williamson  – What happened to Germany after World War Two
What promises to be a fascinating insight into post war Europe.

Sean McHugh – Help Stamp Out Knowledge
Sean continues in his crusade, at the last Ignite he was stamping out Economics.

Alex Nursall – What makes a good bad movie?
or How I learned to stop worrying and love The Room.

If you have a project or event that you would like to tell everyone about then put your name down for a one minutes pitch – this is where we give the audience the opportunity to get up, grab the mic and tell everybody about there … well whatever it may be. So don’t be shy and make yourself know to Adrian McEwen our MC on the night.

Hakim Cassimally – Lessons from the Book trenches

Mark Brereton – Failure

Michael Marshall – PR and the News: Zany Boffins and Perfect Formulae

ARE YOU INTO IMPROVISATION: We’ll be rounding off the night with a round of Ignite Slide Karaoke – It’s where we give you twenty random slides and ask you to improvise a talk on the spot that “kind of” goes with the slides. If you are up for giving this a go then let us know straight off by telling one of the organisers.

The event is upstairs at Leaf Cafe on Bold Street and you can book here to join the coolest crowd around – yep we love the Ignite Liverpool crowd.
